Michałowski Park located in North Praga is small and currently a not very popular green area, but next year it will be unrecognizable. Gardeners will change the surface of paths, mark new routes, plant lots of greenery and create a flower meadow. There will also be new benches, bins and lighting in the park.
The second life of Michałowski Park
Michałowski Park at Kawęczyńska Street in Praga-Północ will change in line with the residents’ expectations into a neighboring Zieleniec. The area will gain a new shape, greenery will be renewed, new elements will appear, such as picnic benches – the result of a winning project for a participatory budget. There will be even more trees, shrubs, flowers and lawns. Gardeners will also create a city flower meadow. What’s more, the track surface will undergo complete renovation. There will also be new paths for walking
We are pleased to announce that we have just announced an open tender for the “Modernization of Michałowski Park”. The deadline for submitting offers is November 4, 2019. We remind you that the investment is carried out as part of the Integrated Revitalization Program
Informed the Board of Prague Public Areas. The Michałowski Park will be ready in October 2020 at the latest.
In 2016, a significant part of it was decommissioned, and the occupied area was handed over for the construction of the Świętokrzyska Route.
This construction involved cutting down over 120 trees and took up about 40% of the park’s area. This was associated with strong agitation and social opposition.
The park was designed by residents
The residents of the district decided on what the Michałowski Park will look like during public consultations. Everyone could present their ideas during picnics, walks and meetings. Warsaw residents reported that the park is dirty, because not everyone is cleaning up after their dogs.

There were also comments that this is the only green space in the area, but only old trees grow in the park and nobody has planted new plants for a long time. After collecting all the comments, a park design was created that will satisfy big and small walkers.
No plans or mock-ups have yet to be released.
