After thirty years, it worked – Poles will fly to the USA without visas. Donald Trump announced at a meeting with journalists that he had signed the agreement on visa-free travel with Poland.
Poland has been waiting for admission to the American visa waiver program for nearly 30 years. On October 4, at a press conference, US President Donald Trump announced to journalists that he had signed a document that admits Poland to the Visa Waiver Program. This means that Poles will not need visas to travel to the United States.
The issue of visas has recently been watched by all interested parties, as the rate of refusals to enter the US for Polish citizens has dropped to 2.8 percent. According to the rules, to join the Visa Waiver Program this ratio had to be less than 3 percent. The last “accounting period” just about the ratio ended on September 30.
When Poland joins the visa-free program, Poles will be able to go to the US for tourist or business purposes for a maximum of 90 days without obtaining a visa.
