In the city’s budget in 2020, hundreds of millions of zlotys are to be spent on renovations of Łódź roads.
PLN 317 million was allocated for road repairs and maintenance. This amount includes investments implemented as part of the “Tram for Łódź” project, i.e. the reconstruction of the intersection of Kilińskiego and Przybyszewskiego streets, ul. Przybyszewski from ul. Kilińskiego to al. Śmigału – Rydza and ul. Rzgowska from the street Dąbrowskiego to ul. Broniewski.
For now, there is no schedule for carrying out these renovations – first companies will have to announce tenders and coordinate possible works, e.g. with the reconstruction of al. Śmigłego – Rydza from the intersection of ul. Przybyszewskiego Other planned works include street renovations in ulic na Starym Polesiu, czyli np. ul. Lipowej od ul. Więckowskiego do ul. Zielonej i od al. 1 Maja
do ul. Żeromskiego.
In turn, PLN 65 million will be consumed by the reconstruction of ul. Wojska Polskiego from ul. Franciszkańskiej to al. Palki and extension of the track from the Doły loop to the Łódź railway station.
In turn, PLN 10 million was allocated to the reconstruction of the viaduct on ul. Dąbrowskiego.
Also PLN 10 million (5 for each project) was allocated to the reconstruction of streets in Dąbrowskiego and the hardening of streets as part of ISPA (including ulic Miłosza od ul. Raszyńskiej and ul. Powstańców Śląskich, Uzdrowiskowej ).
This year, 230 million are planned for the revitalization of Śródmieście. In this amount, in addition to road repairs, there are also renovations of tenement houses. But it is already known that the streets revitalized in 2020 will include: Próchnika od ul. West to ul. Piotrkowska, 1905 Revolution from ul. Piotrkowskiej do ul. Kilińskiego, Zachodniej od ul. Ogrodowej do ul. Legionów, Kilińskiego od ul. Rewolucji 1905 r. and ul. Jaracza.
