The Chinese Festival of Light has already be seen in several European countries, now it’s time for Poland. Fort Bema is lit up with hundreds of colors from Saturday, November 30. What’s more, this festival is not only a unique light exhibition, but also an ideal opportunity to deepen knowledge of Chinese culture.
Chinese Festival of Light in Warsaw
On Saturday, November 30, Fort Bema turned into a beautiful, colorfully lit space. For several weeks, to be exact until February 7, 2020, you will have the opportunity not only to watch the light exhibition, but also to deepen your knowledge about Chinese culture.
As you can see in the background, you will find 38 constructions here. Some are really huge. In the back we see a dragon 8 meters high and almost 25 meters longsays Rafał Siekierzyński, from the festival’s press office
There will be a stage with performances and Chinese culture will be shown in relation to dance. From Monday to Sunday, starting at around 17:00 with live shows. Everyone will find something for themselves.
Bema Fort and hundreds of thousands of lights
The exhibition of the Chinese Festival of Lights consisted of 38 constructions covered with colorful fabrics. Each of them is illuminated by hundreds of thousands of LED bulbs, partly also with neon elements. Most of the figures are closely associated with Chinese culture. What does it mean? Of course, floral motifs, lanterns and animals – dragons and pandas. In Fort Bema you will find solids reaching 4 meters in height and 20 meters in length. Already at the entrance you will be greeted by a huge gate measuring 12 meters wide and 5 meters high.
Such an exhibition will impress both children and adults. A fair of the traditional Chinese handicrafts market takes place throughout the Festival. For those thirsty and hungry at the event site you will find a designated catering section and other exhibition stands. As we have found out, this is not the final look of the exhibition. Over time, it will be enlarged and more bright.
The area will be constantly improved. New ones will be added to those already in place. There will also be more lights and additional lanternssays Rafał Siekierzyński, from the festival’s press office
