The fleet of the capital’s police increased by 37 marked and unmarked police cars. The ceremony of handing over modern vehicles took place on Friday, November 29, in the courtyard in front of the Warsaw Police Headquarters.
On Friday, November 29, in front of the KSP headquarters, a ceremonial handover of 37 new police cars took place . The fleet consisted of 28 marked and 9 unmarked vehicles . The cars were purchased from financial resources from the funds of local government units and the Police Modernization Program. The new equipment will be used in service by officers from Warsaw headquarters, but also in Wołomin, Piaseczno, Grodzisk Mazowiecki, Otwock, Pruszków, Mińsk Mazowiecki, Nowy Dwór Mazowiecki and Legionowo.
21 of the cars handed over are equipped with a 140 HP engine (Hyudnai i-30 ), while 7 police cars (Kia Sportage) have a 180 HP engine.

According to police, 304 police cars were purchased for units throughout the country this year. In turn, the capital’s fleet will increase this year by a total of 116 cars . The purchase of new cars is related to the 100th anniversary of the creation of the State Police.
